What's on the menu?

A few days ago I cooked dinner with my boyfriend for his family.
I really like how it turned out.

A chorizo salad
With endive lettuce, radish, parsley and some orange juice squeezed over it.

Homemade hamburgers

them visuals part 2

'Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.' - Psalm 119:105

So I told you guys I would explain why looking at pictures can be handy and useful.
It's useful because pics can be inspirational. A nice dish that you can make, a cute T-shirt that you could buy, a piece of jewelry you can DIY, or a lovely place that you want to visit.
By seeing the picture you get excited to cook it, to go there, to make it, or to buy it.. So if you have a shopping addiction I don't recommand you to look at materialistisch stuff.

I'm not a big shopper, sometimes I actually dislike it. But by looking at some pics first, you get a better idea of what you like and prefer.

googled images:

I love pretty little liars ! :)

I like body chains, don't own one (yet)

Them visuals - part 1

A picture is worth a thousand words. ~
Found this picture on weheartit.com

Sometimes I like to just look at pictures that are pleasing to my eyes. It's maybe a little superficial to do, but it can be seen as a useful hobby.. I'll explain later in part 2.
Let me give you a tip: weheartit.com is a site with nice pictures. Mostly it's girly stuff, but they have a lot! So take a look and maybe you'll really enjoy it, like I do. A little downside is that the pictures aren't the best quality when you download/save them. But for just looking when you're bored, it's more than okay.

And of course you can use google to find pretty pictures, but then you need to know what you want to see. On weheartit you just get a variety of pictures on the homepage.

I already love chandeliers, just so elegant and formal. Here I found a chandelier with flowers ! Kinda cute as well.

Let's talk - You know what I look up to?

I watched an interview of Will Smith with his family, and he said something interesting: Greatness lives on the edge of destruction. The phoenix rises from the ashes.
(He explains it a little bit in the interview, but I´ll tell my own interpretation.)

There is greatness in the moment where you're almost defeated. Because from there you can rise higher. You will become a better and stronger person from the obstacles you face.
Let´s say you have a goal. Don´t be afraid to take risks, because you're afraid to fall down. No, you keep going, and keep on fighting. Because even when you get beaten down, in the end you'll be greater. And maybe that's easier said than done. But I love that mentality, to always keep going to reach you goals. To stay loyal to your ideals.

Fighting for what you want. To me that is living life to it's fullest potential, and that's what I look up to. I look up to people who live life to the fullest so much. They make each moment count, no time to waste. No overthinking, regrets or being ashamed of who you really are.

But I don't mean to say that living to the fullest means that you solely fight for what you want. You also have to enjoy life to the max. Life could be short, so make it meaningful. Every moment is special.

Some quotes that are related to this:

~ 'I know that every mile, will be worth my while.' - Disney song: Go the distance.

~“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”

I think kids are better at living life to the fullest. Don't get me wrong, a lot of adults know how to do it. But it comes so natural to kids. I think it's their constant excitement and curiosity to discover new things. And also, they don't worry about what other people think. So don't overthink, be free and stay excited! :)

Much love, Nolia
